Why it works this way
Most meeting notetakers upload the recording and transcribe it on their own servers. Softspoken does it the other way round, so a confidential meeting is never handed to a transcription vendor.
The AI layer is optional. If you turn it on, only text is sent, only for the step you asked for, and Softspoken AI processes it in Australia. Everything local keeps working with no account and no connection, and stays free.
